www.social-anxiety.org.uk This is the one of the sites that we both found early on in our discovery of social anxiety disorder. It is a UK based site with many members, a good place to meet and chat with other sufferers of social anxiety. You can find many local UK groups on here.
www.socialanxiety.co.uk Nick Hanlon once suffered from social anxiety disorder and now runs a great website on how to overcome social anxiety, with tips, blog and videos.
www.sawest.org Nick Hanlon runs a great social anxiety support group in Bristol and has been running it for many years now. Emma and I met at this group back in 2005.

Courses, Therapies and other Associations
www.shyclinic.com Walter Friedman’s shyness clinic is based in London, England. The Clinic is a comprehensive twenty week programme for overcoming shyness, becoming more assertive and improving your social skills. The methods used in the Clinic are grounded in proven, easily learned cognitive-behavioural techniques.
www.babcp.com Website of the British Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Psychotherapists – the central UK organisation co-coordinating and regulating therapists. Contains general information about the organisation and its aims, and most usefully, a searchable database of CBT practitioners by region throughout the UK. The organisation seems to define behavioural and cognitive psychotherapy as broadly as possible, so you should still check exactly what a therapist practices if you seek one through this site.
